Nutritional Management of Pastoral Animal Production and Health Research Programme
The nutritional management programme includes the feeding, reproduction, health and growth of production animals including; sheep, beef and dairy cattle, deer and goats under pastoral conditions. The group has access to over 2000 hectares of University land near the campus, which provides unsurpassed opportunities to conduct cost-effective research into pastoral animal production and health. A number of projects are conducted in collaboration with other leading research groups in New Zealand and the group regularly consults with industry professionals and producers.
