Massey Equine Studies Major

Meeting the needs of the equine industries

Massey University offers an Equine Studies major in the Bachelor of Agriscience degree. The Equine Studies major will prepare you for entry into a career in a large variety of equine enterprises, both in New Zealand and internationally.

You will acquire a broad understanding of health and production issues, and will be able to offer the equine industry up-to-date and scientifically based knowledge.

Career Options

The diversity of the equine industry and associated enterprises results in a vast range of employment opportunities for motivated graduates.

Advanced equine studies can also be completed within the existing post graduate degrees and diplomas offered within the Institute of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences.
